Happy Jack

  Happy Jack Road is located about 11 miles east of Laramie on I-80. There are a lot of places to stop and picnic, camp, backpack, bike, horse back ride, and just hang out. You can do these activities on trails and roads, or just in the wild. People especially come up here to go sledding. It has wonderful nice long hills and wide open areas so that you don't run into trees. No matter what you decide to do, you are sure to have fun here!

Optimist Park- The Greenbelt

The main attraction to Optimist Park is the "Greenbelt". The Greenbelt is a walking/running path that goes along the river  and there are many different paths that you can take (shown on the map). There is also a dog park here, a playground, a picnic area  and a basketball court. This is a perfect place to go for a walk and take advantage of the beautiful sunshine, and nature.

Altitude Chophouse and Brewery

This Laramie committed Brewery and Restaurant has amazing food and definitely shows its Pokes (University of Wyoming) spirit. This family friendly restaurant always provides a fun atmosphere no matter the time you are being served. Their food is a little more on the pricey range averaging from $8 to $24. This All American restaurant would be great to hold parties, special occasions as well as just a sit down lunch or dinner.

Sweet Melissa

This Vegan restaurant has amazing food as well as low prices. Many people including families that love eating meat, love this place. Its a sweet, family friendly place that suites a lot of people who have allergies can enjoy Gluten Free varieties of food. They serve lunch and dinner everyday except Sundays.

Washington Park

Washington Park has a nice walking/running path around it along with different workout stations to do while you walk/run. In the park itself there are two soccer fields, a few playgrounds, a band shell, several barbeque huts, a basketball court, and horse shoe pits. Here is a great examples of more free fun in Laramie.

Labonte Park

Labonte Park is a park with a walking/running path around a small lake. Along the path there are various different work out stations to do. There are also two play grounds, softball fields, and a skate park. All of this is free fun! Labonte Park is a nice place to hang out with family and friends right in Laramie.

Lovejoy's Bar and Grill is a great restaurant with reasonable prices! This family friendly place is great for you if are looking for American food that includes burgers, melts, sandwiches, wraps and more! This corner restaurant has numerous parking lots as well as street parking nearby and is very friendly and fun place to be! It comes highly recommended by lots of college students as well as Laramie Natives.
